The "Patient Call" is a record of interaction between a patient or family member and our medical staff. A single "call" can be a simple question asked and answer given, or it can be referred to other staff and/or involve multiple follow-up calls. The software is designed to allow staff to easily track the status of the calls they are handling, and to support efficient internal communication about calls. Staff can easily pass ("assign") calls back and forth among themselves; and there is a concept of "nurse taking patient calls" to whom calls can be assigned.
Under the "Charts" menu is a "Patient Calls" submenu with these choices :
